As a lifelong Tennessean and Blount County resident, Bob Ramsey is a dedicated family man committed to serving his community. Before Bob retired three years ago, chance are you or a family member may have gone to or know someone who’s been a patient in Bob’s Maryville dental office, which opened in 1976. Chances are you had a chat or two with the love of his life, Margaret. You may even know his daughter’s Heather and Haley or seen him walking around town with his granddaughter’s.
If Bob is not mingling with friends at trivia night, joining community organizations to pump gas for a good cause, teaching a bible class, speaking to students, neighbors, and citizens about their lives, he spends his time advocating for the whole of Blount. For more than 20 years, Bob has humbly, served his community. As a husband, father, dentist, County Commissioner, County Executive, and State Representative, Bob listens and learns what will help you and Blount thrive while pragmatically resolving the tough issues put before him.
Bob has always recognized that you have to watch and listen to people to understand what is going on. He understands the importance of doing the groundwork and research to gain an understanding of what a community wants you to do as their advocate and representative. Bob knows that in an ever-changing world, maintaining and cultivating the natural beauty and heart of Blount is as important as the growth of Blount. As your choice for State Representative for Blount County, District 20, Bob is always grateful to listen to you and move with your purpose in mind.
